A rock fan's wildest dream has become a reality in the form of a new super-group featuring members of Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana and Led Zeppelin.
The band, known as Them Crooked Vultures, features Josh Homme on guitar and vocals and Foo Fighters main man (and ex-Nirvana drummer) Dave Grohl behind the drums.
John Paul Jones, an original member of legendary rockers Led Zeppelin, completes the line up on bass.
Led by Homme, the band made their live debut in the UK as a secret support act to Sheffield's Arctic Monkeys at the Brixton Academy.
The group's support slot was their fifth gig and follows shows in Chicago, Amsterdam and Belgium including the Pukkelpop and Lowlands festivals.
An album has been rumoured to appear at some stage in 2010 by the band, which formed in Los Angeles earlier in the year.
Homme has been a busy man of late, helping the Arctic Monkeys record their third full length album, Humbug.
Recording for the new release, which features the single Crying Lighting, took place in Los Angeles and the Mojave Desert.
