Celebrities are everywhere.
Most celebs will make the news, but there are a select few will top this year's list as most talked about celeb.
Here is a list of a few celebrities to watch over 2010.
1. Taylor Swift:
2010 is shaping up to be the year of Taylor Swift. In just the first month of 2010, Swift has garnered two serious distinctions: her country album 'Fearless' won a Grammy for Album of the Year and she was listed by Nielson Soundscan as the top-selling digital artist in music history. Taylor Swift also made her film debut in the romantic-comedy 'Valentine's Day.' She is also working on follow up album to 'Fearless' which is scheduled for a late 2010 release. Swift also won a 'People's Choice Award' for Favorite Female Artist and her sold-out Fearless Tour continues well into the year.
2. Oprah:
Oprah Winfrey's September 2011 retirement of the 'Oprah Winfrey Show' after 25 seasons will have all of her many fans tuning in to see her last full season. The launch of her very own cable channel, appropriately titled 'OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network,' will only increase the amount of attention paid to this media mogul.
3. Lady Gaga:
Lady Gaga has reached superstar status since she hit the popular music charts in 2009. This year will be another huge year for the queen of extremes – she's already done a duet with Elton John at the Grammys and claims the remainder of her revamped 'Monsterball' tour will bring back showbiz.
4. Conan O'Brien:
Conan might have been miffed by NBC's schedule shuffle that ultimately resulted in his exit from the network, but the outpouring of public support for the late night host has made him one of the biggest celebrities thus far in 2010, and also $33 million richer. Look for more Conan O'Brien excitement in fall 2010, when he's able to join up with another network.
5. Miley Cyrus:
The popular Disney star isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Expect tweens everywhere to tune in for the fourth and final season of the much beloved 'Hannah Montana' series. Fans will also flock to see Ms. Cyrus' in the lead role of the upcoming film 'The Last Song'. Unknowing adults will also get a dose of the pop star when she cameos in the 'Sex in the City' sequel.
6. Robert Pattinson:
Expect more fangirl fever in the summer of 2010 when the third installment of the Twilight series, 'Eclipse', is released. Roles in two other films to be released in 2010 –'Remember Me' and a film adaptation of 'Bel Ami', will keep his face fresh in the public's mind.
7. Beyonce:
Beyonce has started 2010 off with a bang – she broke the record for most Grammy awards won by a female artist in the same year with 6 Grammy Awards for her album 'I Am… Sasha Fierce.' Her fourth studio album is also due out this year, which is sure to be another big hit.
8. George Clooney:
Already on the receiving end of major Oscar buzz for his role in 'Up in the Air', Clooney has also garnered a lot of recent positive attention for his Haitian disaster relief efforts. He is definitely a star worth watching in 2010.
9. Brangelina:
This celebrity power couple is still basking in the media spotlight. It's a safe bet that the will-they-or-won't-they break-up rumors will persist through 2010 and Oscar season, where Brad is sure to be recognized for his role in 'Inglorious Basterds.'
10. Tiger Woods:
Unfortunately, this fallen celebrity's extracurricular antics are sure to keep him in the limelight for the remainder of the year, as more former mistresses are revealed and rumors of divorce drag on.
