Are US Women More Stylish Then Their British Counterparts?
US celebrities including Hollywood leading ladies are more stylish than their British counterparts, according to one fashion expert.
Liazanne Harris, fashion director at British fashion publication Stylist, said beauties like Tomb Raider actress Angelina Jolie and Friends star Jennifer Aniston are leaving British women in the shade.
The fashionista claimed women in the UK sometimes go too far in order to try and look good.
According to Ms Harris, English girls can’t decide whether to dress up or dress down.
“I think that the English can go a bit overboard – they either overdo it or completely under do it,” she said.
The guru explained that the hot look for the new season is in keeping with what US women do best.
“That sort of simple sophistication is very American and it is one of the trends for spring/summer, that American preppy sports feel. It is very wearable,” she added.
However, not all UK actresses were said to be unfashionable; Ms Harris singled out Helen Mirren, star of The Queen, as an excellent style role model.
