Oprah Quits Oprah! What are Oprah’s Plans After Her Show?

We all know that Oprah has had a reputation entertaining, and even stunning her audiences. Her interviews can make or break an actor, and her book recommendations can be solely responsible for the success of failure of a book. Recently, she has really shocked her audience. Within the last 2 weeks, Oprah has announced that she will be retiring from her daily talk show. As you have probably noticed, this has been a shock to viewers around the world, and many are left wondering what Oprah plans to do once the show is finally over.

Oprah Busy Planning Her Last Season

Right now Oprah seems to be very busy planning her last season, and her loyal audience is saddened to see her leave her show. Her show attracts nearly 7 million viewers per episode. Of course we can’t forgot to take into account the amount of people that work for the show and for Harpo Studios, which Oprah has been responsible for creating. We have had years upon years of watching this woman grow and change into an icon with her wonderful and exciting guests, and we've shared her personal struggles.

Will Oprah Move to LA?

There were some rumors that were spreading about Oprah moving to the Los Angeles area, but she quickly dispelled the rumors. Oprah does not intend to leave the Chicago area until 2011. Of course there are many changes that will arise, and for now, it is a mystery as to who will actually fill the popular afternoon talk show spot. Whoever takes the coveted time slot will have a hard act to follow. Even in the heyday of daily talk show stars like Ricki Lake and Sally Jesse Raphael, Oprah was still the queen.

For now, Oprah is planning on taking a hiatus until her final show in February. All of her publications and other projects will still remain in circulation until further notice. It is still unknown as to whether or not this is a FULL retirement, or just a retirement from the show.

Oprah began her career 25 years ago as a television broadcaster. Over the years, we have watched her grow into a celebrity that women as well as men from all over the world tune in to watch each and every afternoon. Most of us check out her updates and magazine on the internet in order to get some of the best news and advice available for all areas of our lives.

The Oprah Winfrey Network

You might also want to keep an eye out for Oprah’s television channel called The Oprah Winfrey Network, otherwise known as OWN. The network was set to release sometime in 2009, but the launch date has now been pushed back to some time in the year 2010. As for now, all we can do is sit back and await Oprah Winfrey’s next project. She is so intelligent and talented, and a prolific creator of books, magazines, and film. All we can do now is be patient and wait for Oprah to announce her next project.
