Top designers from Philadelphia and New York will show off their 2010 collections in the 'city of brotherly love' next month.
The second annual Evoluer House Fashion Show Fundraiser and Cocktail Reception hosted by Pret a Porter, will take place on December 11th at the Painted Bride Art Center in Philadelphia, where designers including Malcolm Harris, Bweela Steptoe and Melanie C Brandon will display their latest creations.
Harris now works for the Mal Sirrah label and began his tutelage in the Paris fashion houses of Yves Saint Laurent, Jean Paul Gaultier and Paco Rabanne.
Steptoe, who comes from Brooklyn and has said: "Life is about survival, but to do it with style makes a difference", will showcase a rags-to-riches style expressing inner-city values that she calls Urban Deconstruction.
Brandon was the winner of the New York Indie Award for Best Designer in 2003 and has featured at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York for four consecutive years.
On November 4th, nine of Korea’s top fashion designers presented a selection of styles from their 2010 collections at a one-off runway show in New York City.
